Teacher Thank You's

I have been so busy since I got my pre-order that I haven't had a chance until last night to mount the stamps or try anything out. I had to make cards for Ian's teachers so I thought the Baroque motifs would be good for the Thank you's and of course I had to play with at least one of my new sets :)

The card base is Shimmery White (it is hard to tell in the scan-I am still learning), then the next layer is Blue Bayou. On the Soft Sky layer I stamped the flower in the same color and then I used Shimmery White for the main image and stamped the flourish in Soft Sky and the flowers in Blue Bayou. The bigger flower is cut out, there is a crystal brad in the center and it is popped up. Ribbon is May Arts. I have to say that I think this looks way better in real life....the shimmery cardstock really makes it so much nicer.

For the teacher gifts I made them these bookmarks and gave them each a gift card for Chapters.

You just couldn't wait to break out that new set last nite, could you? The original card would have been fine but I guess I don't blame you for wanting to play. Very nice!

great idea!!! Do all people give teacher thank you's? I have gotten the teachers a little thank you too and then wondered if that was a normal thing to do.

Karen, I love that card! I have become card challenged. I need lessons really bad. When is the next stamping day? I went to make Tori a card for a friend it took me over an hour and she said, "Ummm, thanks Mom but lets just buy her a card!" Nice eh! lol
